Hi friends,

Happy Election Day! If you haven’t voted, you still have time to get to your poll site and cast your ballot! It is so important that you vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Row D, the Working Families Party line, when you vote today.

That’s why I wrote an op-ed with my friend Nydia Velázquez, and today it was featured in El Diario! We want our Spanish-speaking neighbors to know that the WFP has been fighting for people of color for decades, and that we must support the party with our vote. ([link removed])

If you can, please make a donation to my re-election campaign. I am committed to continuing my fight to bring power and change to the communities in District 13, please support me in this mission. ([link removed])

Here is an excerpt, and the English translation:

Thanks to two decades of organizing by the WFP, working people now have a dominant voice in Albany and we have used it to deliver real change. Last year, we fought and won access to driver's licenses for our undocumented brothers and sisters. We finally passed a law that provides more job protections for farm workers, many of whom are Latino immigrants who have long been mistreated by their bosses. Time and again, the WFP has sided with workers to win historic tenant protections, a $15 minimum wage, and paid sick days.

Vamos,

Jessica
