Dear Friend –
On September 20th, millions of people are walking out of their homes and workplaces to join the youth-led climate strikes around the globe and are demanding that leaders respond to the climate crisis.
Oxfam stands in solidarity with youth climate advocates and will be directing our resources, knowledge, and platform to support their calls and complement their activism.
Will you join this important moment on September 20th at your local climate strike?
The injustices of poverty and inequality are inextricably linked to the climate crisis we are in. Now is the time to rise up, demand climate action, and fight for our rights together.
We are striking for climate action because history has shown that people power can achieve great things. Oxfam works with communities every day who face direct and devastating impacts of climate change and extreme weather – and the humanitarian consequences. We know firsthand the greatest gains we can make for the people and the planet happen when we unite for the greater good with a purpose and vision.
Support this youth-led movement and find a local climate strike in your community >>
It’s time to unite for climate action; for a stronger, fairer economy; for better jobs; for clean and healthy communities; for human rights and dignity for all of us.
We will see you on the streets.
Sincerely,
Gina Cummings
Director of Campaigns
Oxfam America Action Fund
