Today is Election Day in the most consequential election in the modern history of our country, and the most important thing you can do is cast your vote.

As you know, this is not only an election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden — it is an election about whether we retain American democracy. We have a president who does not believe in the Constitution or the rule of law, and who has already indicated he plans to declare victory before all the votes are counted. We will not allow that to happen. Every vote will and must be counted.

But let us not forget that is an election about health care for all, higher wages, equal pay for equal work, guaranteed paid family and medical leave, guaranteed childcare, education, climate change, criminal justice, immigration reform and so many other important issues. At a time when the working class of this country is hurting like never before, we need leaders who are prepared to think big, not small. It is time for the bold progressive change that this country needs, and which the American people want.

This election is also a crucial opportunity to elect the most progressive Congress in American history and expand progressive representation in state and local positions across the country. Bernie has endorsed more than 200 down-ballot candidates nationwide who need our support today if they're going to win.

Your vote is a critical step toward building our political revolution and continuing the critical work of transforming this country.

If we elect Joe Biden and progressives nationwide, we will not return to business as usual. We will fight for an agenda that puts working people first, and we will create a government that works for ALL of us, not just the one percent.

But in order to do that, we must all get out and vote in today's election. Millions of people have already cast their ballots — will you join them?
