I'm very proud to introduce Kate Callen, our Volunteer Coordinator, who will be spearheading our grassroots, volunteer-driven campaign that shows the political establishment what we can accomplish when neighbors work together!
Kate brings a solid track record of community organizing and a lifelong passion for protecting our neighborhoods. She has served on a planning committee and is the co-founder of an organization that empowers residents to get involved.
I am excited to be launching TEAM BB 2020! My work as an advocate for San Diego neighborhoods has taught me that we CAN change City Hall’s “status quo” culture by empowering people to stand up and speak out.
I have admired Barbara for many years, and I was thrilled when she ran for City Council. Her integrity and courage have inspired me to get involved in politics for the very first time. She has shown that she will be a Mayor who enforces our laws, protects public safety, and gives community members a seat at the table that special interests have dominated for too long.
I’m volunteering for this campaign because Barbara gives me real hope for San Diego’s future.
