Donald Trump: “We'll see what happens at the end of the day. Hopefully it won't go longer than that. Hopefully the few states remaining that want to take a lot of time after November 3rd to count ballots, that won't be allowed by the various courts.”

 

Trump knows he’s en route to lose this election. And just in case he hadn’t already made his voter suppression tactics overwhelmingly clear so far, he’s brazenly calling to block voting counts in a number of battleground states. 

 

The New York Times has made it clear: Official mail-in counts for several states will not be available by tonight. In fact, two battleground states, Michigan and Pennsylvania, have stated that official counts could take several days.

 

But Trump is trying to change the narrative, claiming that voting delays are caused by alleged Democratic fraud. Millions of Americans are doing their part to defend our democracy, and as Trump ramps up the pressure to prematurely declare victory, we need to demand that our elected officials protect our electoral integrity and count every single ballot.
