It’s hard to believe, but after over a year and a half of organizing, today is Election Day.

In the past few years, we have all watched as our country has taken a dark turn. We’ve witnessed the deaths of thousands of Americans from two pandemics running through our country - racism and the Coronavirus. We’ve seen our leaders give in to corruption and give up on their constituents. We’ve watched our communities become more divided, more pain-stricken, and more ignored. And we’ve seen our Representatives ignore their responsibilities and refuse to stand up for the people back home.

But as proud Missourian Harry S. Truman famously said: The buck stops here.

When Kathy first announced her race in 2018, people thought she was crazy. When she announced again for the 2020 cycle, people really thought she was crazy. But folks on the ground knew what she really was - a true leader. She knew that she couldn’t sit by and watch her hometown wither and die under Jason Smith’s reign. When she asked me to run her campaign, I proudly said yes - because I knew that Kathy wouldn’t ever pass the buck—she’d be accountable for her actions, responsible for the decisions she needed to make, and always responsive to her constituents.

Today’s the day we turn our country around and elect strong leaders - like Kathy - at every level in our government - all the way from President to School Board.
