John,
It’s Election Day! And that means it’s time for some serious corruption cleanup.
In the past few days we concluded our ‘Toxic Tour’ through critical states, calling out Trump and McConnell and Members of Congress refusing to stand up to their corruption.
Now it’s time to finish the job!
If you haven’t voted early, make a plan to vote today. You can go to Vote.org to find your polling place and other critical info to make your voice heard. 22 states and the District of Columbia offer same-day registration - check here to see if yours is one of them (then take a new voter with you to the polls when you go!).
Our very democracy is on the ballot - and we don’t need to tell you that’s no exaggeration. But we have the power to vote out the toxic politicians selling out democracy for power and personal gain in return for campaign cash. We can put an END to Donald Trump’s racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, corrupt, disgraceful, and completely un-American presidency - and the best way to do that is to vote in absolutely massive numbers.
This election may not be decided today. With unprecedented mail-in voting due to the pandemic, experts expect critical numbers of ballots to continue being counted in the days after the election.
That’s exactly why Trump and the GOP have threatened the vote count - they’re afraid of the will of the people, and Trump has signaled that he could even try to declare victory tonight before all votes are counted.
John, for a sitting president to declare victory before all votes are counted would be a damning and completely illegitimate abrogation of democracy - it would be pure corruption plain and simple. But we’ve seen it all from Trump. We know his corruption has no limit.
So we’ll be ready to react if necessary. We’ll see you at the polls, and if Trump attempts to interfere in the results, we’ll see you in the streets.
But today, let’s finish this Corruption Cleanup job.
Thank you for all you do,
-The HAZMAT America Team
