I expect a huge turnout at the polls today. Americans have voted successfully through wars, a Great Depression, and this pandemic—and already, over 1.5 million Kentuckians have cast a ballot in this election. When it comes to defending our democracy, nothing will stop us.
If you’re a human being, you’re probably going to feel antsy in these final hours before polls close at 6 p.m. But instead of refreshing the news or digging through junk drawers looking for a fidget spinner, do something simple to help people vote instead—here are a few ideas:
- Make calls. Join the organizers and volunteers helping voters make their voices heard.
- Ask your friends to join you in turning nervous energy into organizing power.
- Chip in to help offset the last-minute budget gap and help our team go all in to reach every voter we can today.
No matter what: Don’t let up. Together, we’ll defeat Mitch McConnell and defend our democracy. Let’s go get it done.
