Today, Mississippians will cast a ballot for President of the United States and stand up for what they believe. Down your ballot, you will also have the opportunity to hire your next School Board Member.
This position will have a significant impact on the trajectory of our future, and, among other things, carry a heavy influence over property values, taxes and economic attractiveness within our county. I want to be a part of ensuring we are moving the needle in the right direction on these issues.
That’s why I’m applying for the job - because I believe DeSoto County will only be as strong as our local school system.
It has been an honor to serve you in the classroom at Northwest Mississippi Community College, but this election is about our future. Now, I am asking to serve you once again – this time as a DeSoto County School Board Member.
It will be my mission as a Board Member to listen and learn – then lead – on issues that allow us to continue improving the academic excellence and outstanding extracurricular activities for which we have become known.
I’m fully committed to putting localism first so that we can continue our recipe of success and serving those who are tirelessly working to equip the workforce of tomorrow with the tools they need to be successful today – our teachers.
I have the resume and I am here to apply for the job. I sincerely appreciate your vote and any support you are willing to give in helping me reach that goal today.
Larry
