Hey John,
Tomorrow is the day.
Four years ago tomorrow, I dressed my two-year-old daughter in a “Run Like A Girl” t-shirt as she babbled about how Hillary Clinton was going to be the next “Dentist of The United States.”
Four years ago tomorrow, we went to bed tear-stained and bone-rattled but nevertheless filled with the overpowering need to do something.
Tomorrow is the day we’ve been working our asses off for ever since. And we can’t let up now.
Just like in 2018, I’m getting a lot of calls and texts asking “What can I do now? Does Swing Left need some last-minute help?” And the answer is simple:Yes. Make calls. We’re working closely with campaigns to connect you to the highest impact phone banks tomorrow.

I know you’re stressed. It’s been a stressful four years. We’ve seen not one, not two, but three terrible Supreme Court nominations. We’ve mourned as Trump degraded the Office of the President, and the GOP degraded our democracy in their desperation to hold on to power. We’ve suffered Senate, state legislative, and judicial losses.
But we’ve also seen incredible victories. We flipped the House, and elected the most diverse Congress in U.S. history. We flipped the Virginia state legislature. We won a crucial judicial election in Wisconsin in the middle of a global pandemic. Our team has grown bigger, stronger, and smarter. We’ve built an organizing community that extends across the U.S., even when we couldn’t meet in person. We’ve built groundbreaking organizing and fundraising technology. We’ve raised millions of dollars and turned out countless voters for elections up and down the ballot.
We did the work, and tomorrow, it all comes to a head. No matter what happens, I am incredibly proud of what we’ve built, and what we’ve accomplished together. Mostly, I am incredibly proud of you, the hundreds of thousands of donors and volunteers that have powered these efforts. From the first-time donor to the four-year volunteer leader, it is the honor of my life to be in this fight with you.
In the 12 hours between polls opening and polls closing tomorrow, I’m calling voters. And I’m asking you to join me.
<[link removed]> I know you’re tired. I know you’re hearing that everyone who’s going to vote has voted. But we can’t slow down now; we have to run through the finish line because millions of Democrats still have to return their ballots and make it to the polls. Even if you turn out just one voter tomorrow, they could make the difference. As always, we’ll connect you with the campaign that most needs your help.
When polls close tomorrow, we’ll send you some scenarios we’ve been looking at for how things might play out, and the best way to track the results with us. But right now, in the dwindling hours before Election Day, we need you to sign up to make calls.By signing up tonight, you’ll help campaigns allocate resources and make sure they use your time and energy as strategically as possible.
