I still remember the day I announced that I would run for Congress in CA-49.

It began with the goal of taking our district in a new direction. One that involves making healthcare more, not less, affordable for everyone, protecting our environment and coastlines, passing common sense gun reform, and so much more.

I’m so proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish over the last two years. With your help, we passed dozens of bills to protect the environment and our veterans. We made more progress on San Onofre than had been done in the past decade, and we held firm against Trump’s attacks on our institutions.

So before ballots are counted tomorrow, I want to thank you for believing in me and believing that we could be better. I’m fired up and ready to continue fighting for what’s right in Washington like never before.

Tomorrow’s election will be the most important in our lifetime, and I’m confident that we have the power to defeat Donald Trump and stop Republicans from dragging our country backward.
