Tomorrow is Election Day. TOMORROW! I almost can’t believe it.
A lot has changed since I announced my campaign to take on Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith in a rematch for U.S. Senate here in Mississippi last year.
Unfortunately, our country has dealt with the devastating impacts of a pandemic, the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and protests sparked by injustice. But with the right leadership in Washington, I know Mississippi and our country as a whole can and will come out stronger.
While this has been a challenging year, we have a lot to be proud of. Together, we built the biggest, strongest political campaign this state has ever seen. EVER.
We raised nearly $11 million from more than 350,000 grassroots donations. We contacted over 1 MILLION Mississippians with our field operation. We went from 25 points behind in the polls to a statistical tie of just a single digit. And tomorrow, we can close that gap, make history, and move Mississippi forward.
None of that would have been possible without you. Before I ask if you can chip in one last time before Election Day, I wanted to share something with you.
