We have a historic opportunity to replace District Attorney Jackie Lacey and elect reform champion George Gascón. George is running to end the destructive policies that have perpetuated mass incarceration under Lacey’s rule and have allowed Los Angeles to become the largest jail system in the world. If he wins tomorrow, this will be a monumental feat for the real justice movement.
If you haven’t returned your ballot yet, there’s still time to vote in one of the most important District Attorney elections happening in the country. Click here to find the closest drop box or polling location near you, John. Even if you aren’t registered yet, some locations offer Same Day Voter Registration before 8pm tomorrow.
George Gascón has the experience, compassion, and dedication we need to completely transform one of the worst cases of mass-incarceration and anti-reform in the nation.
During these next 24 hours, our efforts could be the catalyst at dismantling a historically racist and unethical system, and finally replace it with one that protects, supports and uplifts all the people of Los Angeles.
