Dear John,
T here will always be a need to fight for everyone's liberation, and we will always fight to keep each other safe , no matter what happens in the coming weeks.
With the rise of white supremacists and right wing militias emboldened by the Trump administration, there’s a high possibility we’ll see an uptick of violence against the people we work with.
One common fear we’ve heard is the fear of possible retaliation towards the most marginalized members of our community, including but not limited to hate crimes , ICE raids , violence during protests , and increased militarization of our neighborhoods . There’s also the fear of potentially losing income if there’s a potential new shutdown, the end of eviction protections for people who don’t qualify for federal protection, and risk getting COVID .
All of this is converging at the same time. But this is why we need to continue fighting to protect each other and keep our communities safe, and we need you to continue to mobilize with us .

Remember that the presidency does not define our safety—we define that for ourselves, and we're honored to have you alongside us in the fight for our collective dignity, safety, and liberation.
In solidarity now, forever, and always,
