Friends,
Hey! Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day! If you haven't already voted, make sure you visit a polling place tomorrow. If you have voted, reach out to five of your friends and family members who maybe haven't and remind them to vote. Find all the info you need to vote in Fairfax County here.
Don’t forget the 350 Fairfax virtual general meeting on Thursday, November 5, at 7:30 pm! This is what’s on the agenda:
-
Learn: Food & Water Watch organizer Jolene Mafnas will join us to talk about 2021 Green New Deal Virginia legislation—because no matter who occupies the White House come January, we will continue our work on equity and climate at the state level.
-
Discuss: We will share ideas for Green New Deal advocacy in Richmond and virtually, but we’ll also set aside time to talk about the 2020 Election. Because we’ve all been anxiously awaiting this election for four years, and we all need a safe space to unload when it’s over, whether we have an outcome by Thursday or not.
-
Act: It’s only been a few days since the 2020 Plastic Free Challenge ended, and our mind’s still on single-use plastic. We’ll offer a couple of actions everyone can take to help us break free from plastic pollution both locally and nationally.
