Friend,
Tomorrow is election day. This election is too important to sit out. Our labor rights, economy, the future of our democracy, and so much more depends on the outcome of this election. If you have not already voted, please make a plan to vote and make your voice heard.
The BCTGM is proud to support Joe Biden for President of the United States. He is the pro-union, pro-worker candidate.
This election year is unprecedented. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a
surge in early voting. Many people are voting at home and returning ballots by dropping them off at a secure ballot box or putting them in the mail. These ballots can take longer to process and will continue to arrive at election offices for several days after November 3. In many states, ballots are valid as long as they are postmarked by Election Day and received within a specified time period.
It's important to take as much time as necessary to have an accurate, complete vote count. The fact is, the outcome of the election may not be clear tomorrow night.
Donald Trump has been raising unfounded concerns about election fraud, and he may prematurely declare victory before all the votes are counted or try to stop all legitimate ballots from being counted. We must make sure every vote is counted.
Reminder: If you haven't yet returned your ballot, you should take it to a drop box or other in-person drop-off location. Look up the options for where you live: USVoteFoundation.org/ballot-return-options
Be safe and make sure your voice is heard!
