To be completely honest with you, I'm worried about what Wednesday morning will look like.
Will we wake up the morning after the election asking what if? What if more people voted? What if we chipped in a few extra bucks to support GOTV efforts? What if we did just a little bit more?
We have to avoid that scenario at all costs. The transformative election we’ve been talking about and building towards for more than two years is no longer a far-off event on the calendar — it’s here, it's now, and it's time to follow up our words with action.
If you know the importance of voting and haven’t yet done so, make a plan right now by visiting iwillvote.com. Get up early, bring your mask, and get in that socially distanced line to ensure that your voice is heard.
If you’ve been talking to friends and family about voting, text them right now to make sure they have a voting plan. If you’re on social media, let your network know that they need to vote. Bug people if you have to!
And if you’ve already done all of these things, first of all thank you. Second, consider chipping in so that the hard work being done on the ground to mobilize voters can go on uninterrupted through Election Day.
We can turn the page, John. We can secure an agenda that puts working people first and promotes our values. We can strengthen our majority in the House, win the majority in the Senate, and kick Donald Trump out of the White House. We just need to fight like hell for the future we deserve.
