Hi friend --
Election Day is tomorrow.
While the results of the election may be top of everyone's minds, Biden/Harris staffers are already preparing for the best case scenario and considering potential cabinet picks. Among the possibilities is a particular progressive favorite, Senator Bernie Sanders.
Sanders has been vocal about supporting Biden throughout the race -- and Sanders' former campaign manager has confirmed that they had a "good working relationship with the Biden team." While the senator hasn't publicly admitted to throwing his hat in the ring, sources from POLITICO report that he's got an interest in becoming labor secretary in the new administration.
Sanders has a long record of fighting for the working class, and many progressives feel that he could do a lot of good for the American people from that seat -- but some worry that his "stubborn independence" could keep him from landing the position. Where do you stand? Add your voice to ours and tell us now:
Would you approve of Bernie Sanders as Secretary of Labor?
