We asked 60,000 Jewish Americans during Rosh Hashanah, “What’s your hope for America in 5781?” Then we animated the answers into an inspiring video about a post-Trump, post-COVID world.

When we started the “We Rise as One” campaign this year, we made our hopes and dreams of a more just country the foundation of all our organizing. During Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), we invited you to dream about the upcoming year with us. We turned your answers into an ad for Jewish voters.

As we approach the last day of voting tomorrow and hold our uncertainty about the days and weeks to come, we wanted to share our final ad of 2020: “Our Hopes” was written by you.

Watch the beautiful words of Jewish Americans across the country. Then use the inspiration to sign up for a text-athon shift to make sure we win!

We hope this video will help you feel connected to a nationwide movement of Jews and allies. After a year filled with state and white nationalist violence and an ongoing pandemic, this ad is a positive look at the world we want to live in when we get through all of this together — and the ancestors we can be for future generations.

With Bend the Arc members across the country, we are hopeful because of what we’ve already accomplished to make this vision a reality:

📲 Thousands of Bend the Arc volunteers made over 2.2 million texts and calls (so far) to Jewish and swing state voters.

📈 We expanded to thirty local groups organizing for a multiracial democracy across 18 states.

📺 We developed and circulated eight powerful and inspiring ads to Jewish voters in swing states — like this one — holding white nationalists accountable, celebrating the tradition of Jewish activism, and sharing our hopes and dreams for next year.

We are proud of what we have built — and will continue to build — together. In these last two days, let’s not leave anything on the table. In 2021, let’s make sure we can look back and say:

“In 2020, we chose leadership that reflects all of us.”
