John,
Just in case Daylight Saving has left you discombobulated, we’re sending this email again to make sure you have everything you need to vote. Election Day is TOMORROW.
You’re running out of time if you haven’t cast your ballot yet. We can’t have any regrets this year. We’ve got to make sure everyone who can vote, does.
We’ll make this simple, here’s what you’ve got to do tomorrow:
- look up your polling place and what time it’s open for voting
- make a plan to get there
- bring snacks, a chair, a book, a fabulous playlist, whatever you need to be comfortable if lines are long
- check in with friends and family to see if they have voted, and if not, bring them with you and make it a party!
That’s it. That’s all it takes to make change. It’s up to us to advocate for our community, and the strongest way we can do that is by voting.
Sincerely, Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen

John,
Listen, we know that nobody wants another hour of 2020, but if we have to endure another 24 hours of this messy year, we might as well do something productive with it, right?
There are only 2 days left until Election Day. Just hours until the votes are counted and we know who will represent us in the next Congress and Senate, and who will occupy the White House in 2021. It’s up to us to make sure those leaders are people who prioritize transgender issues.
Being a voter is empowering. You have the ability to change your community, your state, your country, and the world with your vote. Don’t take it for granted. Encourage your friends and family to vote. Harness your power and get everyone you know to the polls to change history.
If you haven’t voted yet, please make sure you have a plan to get to the polls on Tuesday. In some places, you can still early vote or drop your ballot off at your Board of Elections or County Clerk. Go to WhenWeAllVote.org/NCTE to find out when your polling place is open and where you need to go.
Join the over 80 million other Americans who have already voted and cast your ballot as soon as possible. Together, we will move our country forward.
Sincerely,
Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen NCTE
