Hi John - Tomorrow is Election Day! If you’re one of the 80 million people who has voted already, thank you! Please share our guide below with your family and friends on voting safely. If you still need to vote, here’s some important info to keep in mind when you cast your ballot tomorrow: - Find election hours and your polling place here.
- If you still have a mail-in ballot that you haven’t yet returned, find a ballot dropbox instead of dropping it in the mail to make sure your ballot arrives in time to be counted.
- Allow plenty of time to vote – some polling places will have long lines. In most locations, if you are in line by the time the polls close you will still be allowed to vote!
- Wear a mask, use hand sanitizer and observe social distancing while waiting to vote.
- Don’t wear any candidate or political party hats, buttons, t-shirts, etc. to the polls. (Although if you have one you can always wear a Save the Children Action Network shirt, hat or button!)
- If you are required to show a photo ID in your state, make sure you bring it. If you aren’t sure check with your local board of elections on the requirements.
- If you are prevented from voting or witness any issues at the polls you can call the non-partisan election protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE.
Thank you for voting for kids! |
