Ballot Fraud

What to Know: Project Veritas has released video footage of a “ballot chaser” apparently pressuring a voter to change their vote from a Republican candidate to the Democratic challenger. The Texas Attorney General’s Office will now investigate.

The TPPF Take: Despite denials in the media, ballot fraud exists—and can change election results.

“That’s why we have endeavored to explore and highlight areas in election law that are ripe for abuse and suggest reforms that protect the integrity of every ballot,” says TPPF’s Quico Canseco. “At the top of the list is mail-in ballots, which, by breaking the chain of custody from voter to ballot box, creates the very opportunity for fraud and coercion exposed in this case.”

It’s The Economy…

What to Know: Most elections hinge on the economy, and lately, Biden supporters have tried to make the case that the Obama economy was superior to Trump’s economy.

The TPPF Take: American families saw much larger economic gains during the Trump administration’s more pro-growth economic environment.

“Census data show that inflation-adjusted median household income increased by 5% to $62,989 in the eight years during the Obama administration whereas it increased by 9.2%, or 84% faster, to $68,703 in just three years during the Trump administration,” says TPPF’s Vance Ginn. “This increase of almost $6,000 in real incomes, which increased for every race, matches the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors estimated increase from the Trump tax cuts and deregulatory efforts. We need more of these sort of pro-growth policies to power us through the recovery of the COVID-induced recession.”

Health Care

What to Know: Even though telehealth proved itself invaluable during the pandemic, insurers are starting to roll back coverage for it.

The TPPF Take: The Affordable Care Act leaves too many decisions up to insurers and actuaries—not doctors and patients.

“Health care is ultimately about the relationship between doctor and patient,” says TPPF’s David Balat. “The president has committed to improving access for all Americans by introducing arrangements like direct primary care that focus on true health care. He’s also encouraging innovations in medical research, the development of new treatments and medications, and bringing much of the sourcing of materials back to the United States.”
