This afternoon, from 16:00-17:30
(CEST), the European Movement International will hold an online
discussion on the US elections and the impact on EU-US relations. You

This week, MEPs will take part in
external parliamentary activities such as delegation meetings. On
Wednesday and Thursday, the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly
will bring together members from Latin American regional parliaments
and the European Parliament. On Friday and Saturday, Ylva Johansson,
Commissioner on Home Affairs, participates in a joint mission to Gran
Canaria with Fernando Grande-Marlaska, Spanish Minister of the
Interior. Furthermore, on Tuesday, the Eurogroup will discuss, among
other things, the Covid-19 economic outlook and the ministers of
Consumer Protection will discuss the new multiannual consumer agenda
to be presented by the Commission later this year.

European Parliament
This week, Parliament’s delegation
for relations with the Pan-African Parliament, the delegation for
relations with the US, and the delegation for relations with Canada
will meet. On Wednesday and Thursday, the Europe-Latin America
(Eurolat) Assembly will bring together members of Latin American
regional parliaments and the European Parliament. The Assembly will
address the impact of COVID-19 and the social and economic recovery on
both sides of the Atlantic. HR/VP Josep Borrell, the German Foreign
Affairs Minister Heiko Maas, and the new President of the
Inter-American Development Bank Mauricio Claver-Carone are also
expected to participate.
European Commission
On Tuesday, the Commissioner for
Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, will meet with the
President of the Council of Europe's Venice Commission, Gianni
Buquicchio. On Wednesday, the Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms,
Elisa Ferreira, will speak with the Deputy Prime Minister of the
Slovak Republic, Veronika Remišová.

Council of the EU
On Tuesday, an online meeting of
the Eurogroup will take place. Ministers of the euro area will discuss
Covid-19, the economic outlook and challenges in the euro area and for
the global economy. Furthermore, EU ministers in charge of consumer
protection will discuss the multiannual consumer agenda that the
Commission will present in the fourth quarter. On Wednesday, economic
and finance ministers of the EU will discuss how to prevent money
laundering and financing of terrorism.
