Is our civil society a national security vulnerability?
Everything in life comes with trade-offs. And so our free civil society--where our families, businesses, neighborhood groups and so much more flourish--can create openings for bad actors like Chinese Communists to harm America. A classic example of the trade-offs is the State Department's request that think tanks make public any funding they receive from foreign governments. The request is understandable, given the real national security threat posed by more than one foreign nation, but it also raises the possibility down the road of government coercion of private groups. CRC's Robert Stilson examines the challenge of balancing freedom and security here. What could go wrong with vote by mail?
CRC's Shane Devine dares answer the question the mainstream media treats as almost treasonous to ask. The answer? Vote by mail is already leading to a parade of mistakes and criminal behavior by postal workers, mixed with cases of outright voter fraud and interference. Just the past few weeks have brought reports from across the country of lost, stolen, misaddressed, and simply incorrect mail-in ballots--not to mention clear instances of voter fraud. Why did Google ban a CRC video ad?
Back in June we posted and began advertising a video on the dangers of vote by mail. Yet YouTube recently banned our video ad for making "unreliable claims," which is remarkable given how thoroughly we documented everything in the video. CRC's Joseph (Jake) Klein draws the logical conclusion here.

In this episode: For over 40 years, property taxes on homes and businesses in the State of California have been limited by a law known as "Proposition 13," passed by voters in response to skyrocketing tax bills caused by rising property values.

Over the years, changes in the state's dominant industries (less gritty defense manufacturing, more "woke" information technology), an exodus of its middle classes in response to housing costs, and immigration patterns that select for the most socialist-leaning immigrants, liberals see an opportunity to throw out the old tax limits via Proposition 15, which would repeal limits on commercial property tax.
