With just two days until election day, we need to make sure we’re voting and telling our community about the work Yvette is doing right now in Washington.

In fact, last week Yvette was on the floor of the House proposing a new bill that would not only bring work to Brooklyn, but would make power outages a thing of the past.

The idea behind the bill is to update Brooklyn’s electric grid by providing grants to companies willing to build clean energy microgrids that back up critical infrastructure. 

After Hurricane Sandy, when hundreds lost power, my daughter knew we needed to improve our energy infrastructure. Not only will this bill provide a green microgrid, but it will ensure that we’re on the forefront of clean energy jobs for Brooklyn, as well as stability during outages.

That’s why in two short days, we need to make sure we vote for Yvette.
