Friends,
Trump trotted out his tried-and-true xenophobic rhetoric when asked about immigration policy at the final presidential debate. This time, he added to his usual slander that immigrants are criminals and rapists by claiming that only those with “the lowest IQ” complied with the formal steps of the immigration process.
All of this hateful speech contributes to Trump’s despicable overarching suggestion that immigrants somehow make cities more dangerous. Contrary to Trump’s racist lies, a new Stanford University report finds that “cities that have adopted ‘sanctuary’ policies did not record an increase in crime as a result of their decision to limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities.”
Unfortunately, even with the data proving him wrong, Trump’s words still hold power. And his supporters have consistently invoked his name in perpetrating violence against immigrants and people of color. As long as Trump has a platform to spew his xenophobic rhetoric, white supremacy will continue to thrive in America.
We’re two days away from Election Day. NOW is the time to use your voice -- and your vote -- to take a stand. So tell us:
Do you condemn Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric?
Thank you for speaking out,
