John,

Massachusetts is one of the most reliably Democratic states in the nation, and that’s something to be proud about.

But right on our doorstep, in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, my friend and colleague Rep. Chris Pappas is in a tight race. Chris sits on the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, where he’s proven to be a strong voice in fighting to get veterans their hard-earned benefits, and I’m proud to join over 100 of my fellow veterans in saying that Chris has earned my support for his re-election.

Many of the issues that we face here in Massachusetts’ 6th Congressional District extend across the border to our neighbors in New Hampshire—affordable healthcare, good-paying jobs, and the effects of climate change. Chris and I have teamed up on many issues, like cleaning up and protecting our shared Merrimack River from sewage and pollutants.

Just a few years ago, when I first ran for Congress, my own district was considered to be a frontline, tossup race, much like Chris’ is today. Through hard work and dedication, we’ve kept this seat in Democratic hands, and thanks to a crop of new leaders like Chris in 2018, we rallied nationwide to build a Democratic House majority. Now, we need to fight down to the final hours of Election Day to ensure we keep and expand that majority.

Can I count on you to help my friend Chris as he works to keep New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District blue on November 3rd?
