ARC members featured on NFL Network
Dear John xxxxxx,
For many, Sundays in the fall mean watching the NFL with friends and family.
This Sunday morning, I'm pleased to share with you an NFL video feature highlighting ARC member Clifford Garrett ([link removed][UNIQID]) , who is a graduate of our Apprenticeship Readiness Cohorts and is now a union plumber. Clifford, among many other ARC members, is working to build the new Los Angeles Rams stadium, set to open in 2020. In June, Rams rookies took a tour of the new stadium under construction with formerly incarcerated workers from ARC and 2nd Call ([link removed][UNIQID]) .
It was a brilliant opportunity for ARC members who are building their lives and futures to show these athletes the fine work of building their future home. The video aired on the NFL Network last week. You can click the image below to watch the video on NFL.com.

Thank you to the NFL and the Los Angeles Rams for showcasing the hard work of our members and believing in resilience and a better future for all people. We are inspired everyday by all the ARC members working at the Rams Stadium and elsewhere across Southern California.
Thank you to Supervisor Hilda Solis, the Rose Hills Foundation, the Miguel Contreras Foundation, the LA Federation of Labor, the LA/OC Building Trades Council, Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company, LA Trade Tech, and Southwest College for their significant support and partnership throughout eight cohorts of our Apprenticeship Readiness Program. Without their support, we wouldn't have been able to provide these transformational opportunities to our members. These pathways have propelled ARC members to thrive and help build a more inclusive and better LA. Thank you to all who believe in this amazing community.
We are grateful to be a recipient of a NFL Social Justice grant ([link removed][UNIQID]) and look forward to continuing to partner with the NFL in the future as part of the #InspireChange initiative.
Finally, check out this Daily Breeze article ([link removed][UNIQID]) from the June visit to the stadium, which features ARC members Matthew Renteria (pictured above) and Anthony Sarmiento, who are also union workers building the stadium.
Happy Sunday!
Sam Lewis,
Executive Director
