Dear John ,
For over 45 years, endangered sea turtles have found safe haven in Mozambique.
The pristine and diverse coral reefs and untouched beaches provide the perfect
habitat for young turtles to hatch and thrive in.
Now these iconic creatures are at risk. Trump’s Export-Import Bank plans to
finance a $5 billion liquid natural gas project. It would transport 23 million
gallons of this fossil fuel directly through the key turtle nesting ground.
The good news: The Export-Import Bank hasn’t finalized financing for the project
yet. With your help, John, we can pressure the bank to
put the brakes on it. But we must act fast!

projects in Mozambique!

This project is horrible for both wildlife and local communities, which may be
displaced. There’s a high risk that this project will cause spills, release
toxic fumes, and lead to explosions and other accidents. In sum, it could
permanently damage one of the last precious marine habitats on Earth.
Trump is using the Ex-Im Bank to prop up this and other fossil fuel projects
around the world -- all to help his Big Oil buddies. This project is nothing
more than a giveaway to the fossil fuel industry.
Protect communities in Mozambique: Demand the Ex-Im Bank reject financing for
this horrible fossil fuel project!

On top of being destructive, this project is also a terrible use of taxpayer
resources.
If it weren’t funding an LNG project, what could our government do with $5
billion? It could provide Medicaid for 1.4 million people. Increase federal aid
to public K-12 schools by 30%. It could even double federal investment in
renewable energy.
There has never been a more important moment to stand up to the fossil fuel
industry, both at home and abroad. But it’s an uphill battle. That’s why we need a strong grassroots movement to end all U.S. government
support for fossil fuels.
With your help, John, we can pressure Ex-Im Bank to
reject this disastrous LNG proposal. But we can’t do it alone!
Help send 27,000 comments: Tell the Ex-Im Bank board to protect people and the
planet.
