What Dr. Richard Land Says About 'In His Image'

Dear John,

It was only 12 days ago that AFA released its new, original, feature-length documentary from American Family Studios titled: In His Image: Delighting in God's Plan for Gender and Sexuality. I am excited to share with you that, in the brief period of time since the online free showing of the film launched, more than 90,000 have registered to watch and 10,633 have financially partnered with AFA to share the redemptive hope of the gospel presented in In His Image. Those of you who partner with us financially will receive a DVD of the full film, which ships this month.

My friend, Dr. Richard Land, who is president of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, had this to say about the film: "I would encourage every church to show this film. It is very redemptive in its approach and … I think it's the approach that Christ would have us to take." Dr. Land goes on to say, "I think it's a real gift to the church. I would use it as an evangelistic tool. If you know people who have family members who are struggling with this (gender and sexuality), invite them to come over and watch it with you."

I believe that In His Image will impact the cultural debate on gender and sexual orientation that is raging in America, a debate that has now reached into the political arena. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said during a recent town hall in Philadelphia, hosted by ABC News, that his administration would promote transgender rights for Americans, including children. The statement was in answer to a question from a woman who said she is the mother of two girls, ages 8 and 10. The woman said, "My youngest child is transgender. The Trump administration has banned individuals from military service and weakened non-discrimination protections." She asked Mr. Biden, "How will you, as president, reverse the dangerous and discriminatory agenda and ensure that the lives and rights of LGBTQ people are protected under U.S. law?" His shocking, frightening, and shameful answer was, "I will flat out just change the law." He went on to say he would "eliminate those executive orders" by the Trump administration.

Clearly, the American family is under attack and the question of who becomes president on Tuesday has far-reaching implications. Therefore, I urge you to vote on Tuesday and to vote for your biblical values.
