For the first time in 28 years, Georgia is in play in a presidential election. And that’s not all! We have a chance to flip TWO U.S. Senate seats too. That could be the difference between whether or not Mitch McConnell gets the chance to thwart the entire Biden administration. Here’s the deal:
Georgia’s election laws dictate that Senate candidates must win 50% or more in the November election, otherwise they have to compete in a top-two candidate runoff in December. That means that if we can’t get these two candidates over 50%, we may not know who controls the Senate until December!

Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock is leading in his race to defeat incumbent Republican Kelly Loeffler in their special election. You may remember that Loeffler was implicated in an insider trading scam where she likely used insider information at the outset of the pandemic to enrich herself while she lied to the American people that all was well.
And, just to top it off, players from the WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream, which is co-owned by Loeffler, wore Warnock t-shirts during warmups to show their contempt for Loeffler and their support for social justice champion Raphael Warnock.
Democrat Jon Ossoff has a slight lead over incumbent Republican David Perdue in most polls. But Ossoff is still hovering around 48 or 49%. He needs our help to defeat Perdue, who is under investigation for insider trading as well (though not necessarily COVID-related insider trading).
Whether it’s passing critical legislation to expand Social Security, strengthen Medicare or lower prescription drug prices, or appoint federal judges who won’t attack our democracy and our earned benefits, we need Democratic control of the U.S. Senate. And Georgia can get us halfway there all by itself!
