The largest donor in Texas political giving is Charles C. Butt ([link removed]) , Chairman and CEO of the H-E-B grocery store chain. Butt has donated more than $10.5 million to Texas candidates and political action committees during the 2020 election cycle. Over $10 million went to seed the newly formed Charles Butt Public Education Political Action Committee.
