Election expert Nate Silver doesn't just think Democrats will eke out a win. He thinks we could end up with as much as a 10-SEAT MAJORITY in the Senate.
Let's be clear: This isn't just about proving our grassroots power in elections. This is about the change we get to enact as a party because of the election.
If we elect a narrow majority, we can undo some of the damage Trump and the Republicans have done and push for policies that will make things better for people. If we elect more, then we can afford to push for bold, progressive priorities that we know not every Democrat may vote for, like Medicare for All and a Green New Deal.
With enough Senate seats, even if we lose one or two, we can still move our agenda forward -- because we'll have MORE than enough support to not just fix what Trump broke, but go beyond that and create real progressive change. This isn't just an election. It's an insurance policy.
But this isn't going to happen on its own. Even as you read this, The Hill is reporting that Republicans "see a path to holding onto the Senate majority." Mitch McConnell and his billionaire cronies are pouring millions of last-minute dollars into races we could still lose.
We have to fight like hell to win every single race, defeat every Republican we can, and get the chance to not just flip the Senate but own the Senate. And we only have 3 days to do it.
