I'm not running for City Council to represent winery owners and big developers, that's why I'm not taking their money. I'm running to be a voice for everyday people, especially poor and marginalized communities. This is the only progressive, grassroots campaign in town. Vote for me and be assured that I will always prioritize people before profits.

The Uncounted: America's Ghost Voters
by Greg Palast

"The dirty little secret of American elections is that we don’t count all the ballots—and we sure as hell don’t allow every citizen to vote. In total, no less than 5,872,857 ballots were cast and never counted in 2016.
In addition, a minimum of 1,982,071 voters were blocked from casting their ballots. That is a total of 7,854,928 votes and voters left uncounted."

In 2018, the Napa County Farm Bureau led the effort to defeat watershed protections in Napa County, saying that there is no science behind trying to stop deforestation. In 2019, the Board of Supervisors took up the issue, and came up with very weak protections for the hillsides. Again, the Farm Bureau was there, saying that if they were only shown some science they'd be happy to cooperate with the environmentalists' wishes to protect the trees.

The wealthiest members of the Farm Bureau have given tens of thousands of dollars to our county Supervisors' re-election campaigns and gotten to continue very destructive practices as a result. The Farm Bureau is also very anti-cannabis, because it's a competing product, which might have something to do with why there are no cities in Napa County that allow recreational dispensaries, nor does the county itself.
Here are who this conservative, anti-cannabis, climate change denying organization has endorsed.

You cannot tell many Trump supporters that Trump is dropping more bombs than ever on Afghanistan, because it wasn't on FOX News. Just like you cannot tell many Biden supporters that caging children began under Obama, because it wasn't on MSNBC or CNN. We need to repeal the Telecommunications Act of 1996 right away and break up big media companies. We cannot be united when we have different truths.
Well, willya look at that? US-backed fascist coup in Bolivia: failed. The people wanted socialism, they liked socialism, and they voted to KEEP socialism. I wish the US system worked this well!
On October 20, the American Canyon City Council voted to require ventilation and filtration systems, in order to grow 6 personal cannabis plants indoors, which must be able to prevent the odor from affecting people "off-site". I do not believe this requirement is legal, for a number of reasons. I believe it violates the spirit and the letter of Proposition 64, and I believe it violates the state and U.S. Constitution to exclude people based on economic class. I voiced this concern and the Council moved forward anyway, saying they will revisit it in 6 months to determine whether it is being abused.

It would be very easy for someone smoking weed lead to police discovering no ventilation system for your plants, which appears to be punishable by a fine of $200 per plant or up to $1000 per day until the situation is rectified. And every time that happens, the city isn't going to record that as an abuse, the city's going to record that as the system working according to plan.
The poorest half of this country has basically no meaningful share of the national wealth. Jess Stein from WaPo shared this striking chart from the Federal Reserve.

I do not believe NVUSD is doing the right thing by having some children return to campuses. Experts have been saying the next wave is coming for months, and now it is here. The US is recording record numbers of cases again, as are France, Germany, Spain and the UK.

Additionally, tonight is the night that crowds of children traditionally walk the streets together, bumping into each other and taking candy from neighbors. I know many of us are staying safe and not celebrating this year, and many others are trying to find safe ways to pass out candy, but I fear that re-opening schools, especially around Halloween, is a looming disaster, and I really hope I'm wrong.

NVUSD gave parents the choice, which I really appreciate. We chose not to send David and Noah to campuses. But teachers and staff are not being given the choice. The teachers, custodians and office staff are being required to risk their personal safety, and potentially their lives or the lives of family members, over a return that, to me, should clearly be delayed. This is wrong.

I understand that children are not using their full potential. Believe me- I understand that very well. And I understand that people want to get back to work, and that's tough to do with your kids at home, but every time we've tried to rush re-opening, we've had surges of new cases as a consequence of that action.
The thing is that you and I can choose not to send our kids back to campus. If you're taking care of an 85 year old parent with failing health, you probably don't want your kid going to campus and risk bringing home the virus. Teachers and staff aren't given a choice. They just have to be there and risk infection, or risk carrying the virus to an elder. And I just don't think it's right that teachers have to risk it all because off-site learning is lesser.
In February of 2018, Ronell Foster was murdered by Vallejo Police Officer Ryan McMahon, who shot unarmed Ronell in the back after stopping Ronell for not having a light on his bicycle.

In January 2020, after delaying her decision for almost a year, Solano County District Attorney Krishna Blue Lives Abrams declined to prosecute Officer McMahon, despite body camera video and overwhelming evidence of criminal conduct.

In October 2020, the City of Vallejo settled the civil case for $5,700,000 due to the overwhelming evidence of criminal and civil liability.

Now it’s time to DEMAND that Solano County District Attorney Krishna Blue Lives Abrams perform her job duties as an elected official and charge Ryan McMahon for executing Ronell Foster.

November 18th in also Ronell’s birthday.

The only thing more vile and sick than murdering people to increase corporate profits is lying to America to be able to murder people to increase corporate profits.
