Last month, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas surprisingly fired all of his advisors, regardless of their title or rank.
 
Palestinian officials said the decision came as part of efforts to cut costs amid financial hardship in the West Bank.
 
Yet the PA continues to pay an estimated $138 million a year to jailed Palestinian terrorists and the families of those who have died in "martyr" attacks.

This week, the PA's Prime Minister's office issued the following statement via Twitter:

For decades, the PA and President Abbas have refused to accept any peace offer, prepare their people for peace with Israelis, or build the needed foundation for a successful independent state.
 
AIPAC members are now working with Congress to urge the Palestinian leadership to end their boycott of American and Israeli officials, join the Arab world in being open to new economic opportunities, and return to direct talks with Israel to bring their people a brighter future.
