Friend, today is Halloween, but Mitch McConnell has spent over a year spreading scary stories about me. His playbook is to spend millions painting his opponent, no matter who they are, as an extreme partisan who’s out of touch with Kentucky. This year, I’m that opponent, so that’s what he’s been saying about me—even though the description applies a whole lot more to Mitch himself. These attacks don’t scare me, because I know who I am and why I’m running. It’s really not that exciting, folks. I’m a mother of three kids who are dressing up as Thor, Black Panther and Anna from Frozen tonight. I’m a Catholic. I’m a Democrat who married a Republican. I’m a dog person. I like bluegrass, Indiana Jones movies, and my mom’s pecan turtle cookies, and my favorite holiday is Christmas (sorry, Halloween...). I also served 20 years in the United States Marines, where I took an oath to uphold our Constitution—not the goals of any one party. Mitch took that oath, too. But he’s not living up to it. I’m not running for Senate to put on a blue jersey or a red one. I’m running because it’s time the commonwealth had a leader who represented ALL of us—especially during a crisis like the one we face right now. That’s who I am. And despite every nasty thing that Mitch and his allies have said about me, that’s the Amy McGrath I need Kentuckians to know before this election is over. We already know Mitch has raised his last-minute spending—so I need your help to fight back in these last three days. Chip in $3 or more and help make sure every Kentuckian knows the truth about me and the stakes in this race. Thank you (and as a wise man once said, “Don’t boo, vote!”)— Amy
