# [#]When deeply troubling reports of election mail delays recently surfaced in certain critical areas of the country, I didn’t hesitate to respond.

Yesterday, a federal judge in Eastern Washington granted my request for a hearing.

Representing Wisconsin and Michigan, my legal team hauled the federal government into court to demand that President Trump’s Department of Justice explain these unacceptable postal service delays.

As a result of our swift action, the court ordered the United States Postal Service to perform nightly sweeps for ballots in Wisconsin and the Detroit region.

The federal government must take “extraordinary measures” to accelerate the delivery of ballots.

This outcome is good news but it may not be the last time we are called upon to protect this election from interference.

The fight to ensure a fair election is far from over. I need to know I have your support now. Will you contribute to my re-election campaign today? After we defeated President Trump and Postmaster General DeJoy in court in September, mail delivery dramatically improved across the country.

That remains true in most states, but on-time delivery dipped as low as 57% this week for voters in the Detroit region of Michigan. Election mail delays increased in Wisconsin as well.

We were able to act quickly today because we were prepared to meet this challenge. I will be prepared to hold the president accountable and protect this election from whatever threats are ahead.

I made you a promise that I will defend our democracy, and I intend to keep it.

Every ballot must be counted. Our democracy depends on it.

Your support at this critical moment in my re-election campaign means so much to me and the team. Can I count on you to make a contribution today? [[link removed]]

Thank you again — I will be in touch again soon.

Bob
