Hi team -- so sorry for emailing on a Saturday, but it’s the weekend before Election Day, and we’re counting down the hours until our final fundraising deadline of this entire race.
I just stepped out of our morning fundraising huddle, and my finance director just hit me with a tough truth: Unless we get our act together fast, we won’t be able to close our October budget gap.
I hate to be so blunt, but we’re running out of time -- and options -- to make up ground. I’m hoping I can count on you to pitch in whatever you’re able to right now. >>
Listen, if we fall short tonight, there’s no back-up plan. We can’t add our unraised dollars onto next month’s goals -- we’ll have to completely strike them from our budget.
With only three days left in this election, every single item left to fund on our to-do list is critical to winning this toss-up race. It would be heartbreaking to come so far and fall just a few votes short of winning just because we couldn’t reach this final end-of-month goal.
