Hi friend --
We're facing an unprecedented economic crisis. Millions of Americans are being crushed by debt with no way out.
According to The Washington Post, Joe Biden has declared that, as president, "he will push for letting people who enter bankruptcy discharge their student debts and protect the equity they have built in cars and homes."
In other words, Biden is pushing for relief from the financial burdens so many Americans have been forced to shoulder -- even getting behind a plan originally proposed by Senator Elizabeth Warren to extend bankruptcy eligibility to more Americans and lower the financial costs associated with it.
But for months, Republicans have opposed the HEROES Act, the bill Democrats passed in March that would have extended loan protections and forgiveness to struggling Americans. Many members of the GOP dismiss any kind of financial help from the government as a "handout" -- despite the millions going through economic hardship because of Republican policies. That's why we're asking you where you stand on giving a helping hand to those in need. Tell us now:
Do you support debt forgiveness?
