This is terrifying, John.
Someone leaked the legislative plan Republicans are going to try to push onto Montana families in January and "school choice" is at the top of their list.
We all know "school choice" really just means sending tax payer dollars to private, for-profit schools - schools likeĀ Petra Academy that discriminates against children.
Now more than ever, we need to invest in our public schools and ensure public resources are going to public schools.
One of the legislators involved in drafting the plan said "this is the absolute best year to bring school choice" - but we can stop them.
If Elsie Arntzen wins reelection, you can bet these plans will become a reality and our children will suffer. Will you chip in $10 right now to make sure we have a public education advocate at the Office of Public Instruction to serve as a backstop for these discriminatory ideas?
