Dear supporters, On the eve of the 2020 election, we ask that whatever flavor of politics you choose, please exercise your right to vote. When we come together as Americans and vote, we can hold elected officials accountable. We must vote for leaders who will develop policies and enact laws that will keep students and staff safe at school. Once Election Day passes and the results are tallied, we must put aside the rancor and divisive nature of the campaigns, come together as an American family, and demand action from our elected leaders to keep our nation’s students and staff members safe at school. Please be sure to vote and make your voice heard! We all have a role to play in keeping America's school safer. That's why Stand With Parkland – The National Association of Families for Safe Schools looks at school safety in a uniquely inclusive, non-partisan, and holistic way that includes securing the campus, better mental health screening and support programs, and responsible firearms ownership. Watch our new video to learn more about our three pillars of change. Stand with Parkland endorsed Sheriff Gregory Tony for Broward County Sheriff, Debbi Hixon for Broward County School Board At Large Seat 9, and Christine Hunschofsky for Florida State House District 96 in local races ahead of Election Day. Mayor Hunschofsky is the only candidate on the ballot ahead of November's general election. We hope Broward County voters will support Sheriff Tony and Stand with Parkland Board Member Debbi Hixon as leaders who will put the safety and wellbeing of the community first. For the safety of your families and neighbors, we hope you will give them your vote. Friends, as we look ahead to a new Congress, we are more focused than ever on growing a movement that represents the interests of American families. We will continue to lift up our inclusive, nonpartisan, and all-encompassing message regarding school safety and share resources and best practices that save lives. Thank you, – Stand with Parkland
