€5,000 grant for STEAM project of interest to young people!

Dear John,

NYCI’s Arts and STEAM in Youth Work Programmes are pleased to announce the 2019/2020 STEAM in Youth Work Residency Grant Scheme.

Do you have a good idea for a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) project in your youth group but require the funding to work with a scientist, techie, engineer, artist or mathematician?

NYCI is delighted to be rolling out our new small grants scheme to support innovative partnerships between youth work organisations and those who work in any of the STEAM disciplines, have a science dimension to their artistic practice, or work in the area of STEAM communication.

STEAM in Youth Work Residency Grants of €5,000 will be made to residency partnerships that deliver a STEAM project of interest to young people.

A residency partnership may take the form of a professional/practitioner, working within any area of STEAM, in residence within a youth group or vice versa.

For further information please contact Barbara Nea or Anne O’Gorman on [email protected], [email protected] or 01-478 4122.

This grant is intended to support residency projects that have been jointly developed by the partners involved (i.e. the professional/practitioner working within STEAM, the youth work organisation and any other key partner organisation) that meet the criteria for the scheme.

Applications will be invited from participants in STEAM School 2019 which is currently enrolling (places will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis to those who enrol before 31st July 2019). STEAM School 2019 will explore how STEAM can be used to enhance work with young people with a focus on pinhole photography and paper circuit art. It will take place on 16th, 17th and 18th September You can find out more about this in-depth training here.

Please contact us to find out how your project can benefit,

Kind regards,

Barbara
