While you’re taking care of little things like setting back your clock and changing the batteries in your smoke detector, it’s also a great time to conduct a do-it-yourself home energy audit <[link removed]> . You can winterize your home with weather stripping around doors and plastic film insulation kits for your windows, improve energy efficiency by switching out air filters and lightbulbs, and upgrade your appliances. It’s a great way to be a good conservative by saving money and a great conservationist by optimizing your energy efficiency to help the environment. And while most public health experts expect it to be a tough winter in terms of coronavirus spread, it’s a great time to the great outdoors responsibly with socially distanced winter activities like skiing or snowshoeing. In the meantime, we will keep you updated on any developments in the nation’s capitol. Once the election is over, we expect there to be opportunities for important legislation like the American Energy Innovation Act <[link removed]> to pass.
