Mike Bloomberg: From the Bullpen

John,

There's no disputing the data -- gun violence is affecting millions of Americans:

  • 58% of American adults -- nearly six in 10 -- say that they or someone they care for has experienced gun violence in their lifetime.

  • Nearly 38,000 die in gun-related violence each year. That's more than 100 people a day.

  • The gun homicide rate in the U.S. is 25 times greater than other high-income nations.

But here's another data point: Election Day, November 3rd, is three days away.

Between now and then, we have a chance to make a real difference for millions, by supporting gun sense candidates who will fight for common sense gun laws.
