Below is a longer, personal note about why this last end-of-month deadline is so important to our campaign.

Folks, I want to share with you what it's like being a first-term Democrat representing a traditionally Republican district.

Everywhere I go, Republicans follow. GOP trackers record every word I speak. The National Republican Congressional Committee scrutinizes my every move. The chair of the Republican National Committee even lives in my district.

And they're all looking for any opportunity to distort my record and spread lies about the campaign we've built.

They even attacked me for being photographed with my freshman class in Congress.

But I know the voters in Michigan's 11th District aren't buying it.

We came together in 2018 and built a movement that flipped this Trump seat blue for the first time in a generation.

Republicans want this seat back. And they're launching whatever over-the-top attacks they can to distract from the issues this race is really about.

Because national Republicans aren't interested in the people of Michigan's 11th District or what we've accomplished together over the past year and a half -- they're interested in stealing back as many seats as they can to strip us of our House majority.

That's why I'm humbly asking you to help us show them we won't be scared off by their attacks. Make a donation of $10, $25, or whatever you can before our critical October deadline.

Donald Trump won this seat by 4 points. He wants it back because he thinks it will help him hold the White House. That's why he just held a rally in our district with my opponent yesterday.

But this seat doesn't belong to Donald Trump. It doesn't belong to national Republicans. And it doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the people.

So let's show them the power of the people. Help us hit our October goal and let them know this seat isn't theirs for the taking.
