This year's Proudly Muslim and Black 2-Day Virtual Conference themed 'Islam and Racial Justice' saw scholars, community workers and campaigners as well as young Black Muslims across age range, even as young as age 10, talk and discuss various topics.
The speakers addressed issues of racial inequalities within Muslim communities as well as the general UK society with the objective of acknowledging the age-long inequality suffered by Black African and Afro-Caribbean communities, while seeking to foster conversations and actions to eradicate this within Muslim communities specifically and within the UK generally.

Coming Up
COVID-19 Report Launch
As we mark seven months since the outbreak of the pandemic, the MCB has produced a report which looks back at the myriad of ways in which Muslim communities across the UK have not only been impacted, but have responded to COVID-19. From suspending congregational services at mosques and connecting to our communities online, to donating PPE to our hospitals and setting up food banks, Muslims have shown great resolve and resilience.
The last seven months have shown the strength of Muslim communities, and as COVID cases begin to rise again it is important we take stock of all the work that was done and look at how we can serve our communities to the best of our ability.
The report is due to launch the 10th of November. For the latest COVID-19 information and guidelines, visit mcb.org.uk/coronavirus.
