BREAKING NEWS ALERT
Dunkin' Brands, one of Massachusetts’s best-known chains, will be acquired by the private equity-backed Inspire Brands for $11.3 billion, the companies announced in a press release Friday night.

The deal is expected to close by the end of the year, the companies said in the statement.
