John,
I won't kid you, or myself. This race is not a sure win for Democrats. It's anything but.
When we flipped CA-25 blue for the first time in 25 years, that was a big deal. A major achievement. But now we have to do it again -- and even with our two-point lead in the latest poll, this race is close. Our win depends on seeing massive voter turnout.
And right now my opponent Mike Garcia (thanks to all his special interest fundraising) is outspending us on the airwaves.
We're busy calling every Democrat in the district, but our voter-outreach efforts depend on having enough resources. Can you chip in $5 or more towards our final end-of-month goal of this cycle so we have the funds we need to win?

Now, Mike's betting on turnout, too. He -- and his far-right buddies -- know that if Republicans have any hope of gaining control of the House, they'll need to hold on to our district. They're rallying Republican voters to their cause -- and they have the money on their side.
Thanks to his corporate PAC donors, Mike posted twice our fundraising numbers in the last quarter before the election. So not only does Mike have the resources to drive up Republican turnout, they have cash left over to run nasty attack ads against us.
John, we have to extend our two-point lead in these last days. Our finance director, Lexie, worked out that we need to raise $500,000 online in October to keep up with our opponent and fulfill all our campaign plans, and we're still $80,014 short.
I'm personally asking for your help: Can you pitch in $5 or more right now to close this fundraising gap? Click here to donate.
Thank you for your support. Let's go win this thing,
Christy
