Justin Trudeau kicked off the 2019 election campaign at Rideau Hall with supporters before taking off to connect with Canadians across the country. First stop: British Columbia!

We announced a plan to make it easier for Canadians to buy their first home – and if you live in the greater Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria regions, we’re going to give you more help because we know housing prices are up to 60% higher for you. So if the home you want to buy is $789K or less, you’ll still qualify for the First-Time Home Buyer Incentive.

After cutting the small business tax rate from 11 to 9 per cent, Justin Trudeau announced that we’re moving forward with making it easier to start and grow a business. A re-elected Liberal government will eliminate the “swipe fee” on HST and GST for credit transactions - which will save businesses nearly $500 million a year in fees.

Justin Trudeau wrapped up the week at home in Montréal where more than 1,200 supporters came out to support our positive plan to keep moving forward and give everyone a chance to succeed.
