John: James has a new opponent who has the full support of Trump's fundraising machine.

But Tennessee needs a leader with the right priorities. Chip in before our mid-month deadline →

After President Trump spilled the beans about the campaign on Twitter, it took James' opponent nearly two months to get around to telling Tennesseans himself. The truth is, he's more concerned about pleasing his old boss than he is in serving Tennesseans.

Instead of calling for the end of a trade war that hurts Tennessee's economy more than any other state, James' opponent says don't worry because the "economy is booming" and "business confidence is high."

Rather than call for an immediate vote in the Senate on expanding background checks and protecting our elections from Russian interference, James' opponent touts Trump and Mitch McConnell's unconditional support and blames the "liberal media."

James' opponent has shown he's more willing to do whatever his Washington insiders tell him to do than he is in standing up for Tennesseans.

James has been traveling across Tennessee this year meeting with voters and listening to what they need, and are not getting, from Washington. Those reports from the road aren't as rosy as James' opponent says they are, and that's not the type of senator we need.

Tennesseans need a senator willing to do what's right and who will stand up to any president when they're wrong. That's James Mackler.

We need 150 more people to give before midnight tomorrow to stay on track toward our $50,000 FEC goal. Chip in today →
